## MCAT Question A Day - 1/5/14 - Answer!

**Devices A and B are connected in parallel to a voltage source. If the resistance of A is four times as great as the resistance of B, then the current through A must be**

**A.**twice as great as that in B.

**B.**half as great as that in B.

**C.**four times as great as that in B.

**D.**one fourth as great as that in B.

*The correct answer is (D). Ohm’s law. For constant V, I and R are inversely proportional and linear. If R increases by four times, then I must be divided by four.*
