Physics - Center of Gravity

For an object that does not have its mass uniformly distributed, we can find the center of gravity by determining where a single rope could be attached to keep the objects longest plane in rotational equilibrium parallel to the Earth. Remember, that in a non-uniform objects or assembly the center of gravity is closer to the heavier end than it is to the lighter end. So, the rope would be hanging near the heavier side of the assembly.
