Which of the following procedures would allow an experimenter to determine Ea for a given reaction?

A.  Measure k at 298K.
B.  Measure k at 398K.
C.  Measure k at 298K and 398K.
D.  Measure the rate for a variety of concentrations.

The correct answer is (C). To use k = A exp(-Ea/RT), where neither k nor A is known, requires two equations, obtained by measuring different values of k at two different temperatures.
